JOSH

As a credentialed teacher in the state of California with a degree in mathematics, Josh makes careful effort to meet students at their skill level and provide tools they need to be successful in school and in life. He has several years of experience as an educator, including tutoring high school and college students for courses in algebra, calculus, and statistics, leading a team of tutors as part of a supplemental education service program for elementary and middle school students at Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District, and teaching high school mathematics courses using an integrated model based on the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics. A lifelong learner himself, Josh's primary goal is to instill in students the confidence they need to be self-sufficient learners. Josh enjoys travelling and hiking with his family, collecting new board games, and barbecuing on weekends with his charcoal smoker.
